MORTON PARISH COUNCIL – ZOOM MEETING GUIDANCE AND ETIQUETTE

 

Please note that acknowledgement of the following housekeeping rules must be received by the Clerk prior to the meeting ID being released.

 

Please be aware that this is still an official Parish Council Meeting

 

All Zoom meeting ID requests should be made via the Clerk – requests will be acknowledged within 24 hours (unless request made on the day of the meeting).

 

Clerk will request address (road or street, not house number) and which item interested in or specific enquiry for the Parish Council.

 

Anyone unable to attend the meeting once a request has been submitted must inform the Clerk at the earliest opportunity and not pass ID details to another person.  ID meeting details must not be shared with a third party.

 

Participants will be muted until it is their turn to speak and they are invited to do so by the Chair.   A raising of the hand wishing to speak will be enough.

 

Ensure there are to be no distractions during the question time.

 

You will introduce yourself to everybody who is attending the meeting and speak clearly.   

 

Make sure any relevant information you require is close to hand.

 

You cannot ask questions or make comments to individual councillors.

 

You will conduct yourself in a courteous manner and any abuse will not be tolerated. The chair will instruct the Clerk to remove you from the meeting if any member of the Council feels uncomfortable with the questions or comments being made.

 

Should anyone wish to stay for the remainder of the meeting they will be muted, only the Chair/Clerk will give them permission to talk if its relevant
