NOTICE OF A MEETING OF MORTON PARISH COUNCIL

A meeting of the Parish Council will be held on Monday 11th May 2026, following the Annual Assembly of the Parish Council, Community Room Morton Trentside School

There will be a 15 minute public forum when members of the public may ask questions or make short statements to the Council, and your attendance is also requested during this period.

1. Election of Chairman for the Ensuing Year - current Chair Cllr B Allison.

3. Election of Vice-Chair for the Ensuing Year - current Vice-Chair Cllr Butroid.

4. Election of Playing Field Representative - currently Cllr Purdy.

5. Election of Tyler Charity Trustee - currently Cllr Butroid.

8. Minutes of the Meeting held on Monday 13th April 2026 - for approval and signature.

10. Accounts – to review and agree outstanding accounts.

a) Agree purchase of new laptop for clerk - Cllr B Allison.

b) Liability insurance renewal - Clerk.

c) Investigate rate relief - Clerk.

11. Community Safety (Crime, Vandalism, Anti-Social Behaviour and Speeding) – update and resolve any action to be taken.

a) New crime reports - Cllr B Allison.

12. Playing Field and Shared Community Facilities – update and resolve any action to be taken.

a) Removal of showers and installation of hot water tank - to consider quotes received, Clerk.

b) Multi-use games area improvements - update, Cllr B Allison/Cllr King.

c) Pedestrian gate and barrier - update, Clerk.

e) Review of signage and bylaws including standing orders - update, Cllr B Allison/Clerk.

13. Burial Ground - update and resolve any action to be taken

b) Update on visit to Walkeringham cemetery - Cllr Butroid/Clerk.

c) Unauthorised extension to cremation plots - Cllr Butroid/Clerk.

d) Research hazard signs for unsafe memorials - Clerk.

14. Planning Matters - to consider any planning applications received.

15. Village Environment – update and resolve any action to be taken.

a) Fix My Street – Cllr Butroid.
